Midwest Fresh turns two with Shawn Rudiman and Sassmouth

- The Columbus party, showcasing the sounds of Sassmouth's god particle label, celebrates its second birthday this weekend.
- Columbus party Midwest Fresh marks its two-year anniversary this Saturday. Midwest Fresh, the popular series hosted by Contrast Music Columbus, has brought to town artists like Daniel Bell, Mike Servito and John Tejada for rare local gigs. A few returning guests are billed for this weekend's gathering. The night will double as a showcase of god particle, the label run by Chicago's Sassmouth. She'll go back-to-back with fellow Windy City-based DJ Jarvi. (The two are members of NBFC, and Jarvi is part of Sassmouth's Planet Chicago residency at smartbar.) Pittsburgh's Shawn Rudiman, playing live, and Titonton Duvante, a Columbus native (now Brooklyn-based) and Midwest Fresh resident, will also be on hand to represent for god particle. One more resident, Jed James, rounds out the lineup. The party will take place at a new location. Attendees must RSVP via email.
