  • DVS1 has announced details for HUSH 20, a European tour celebrating the 20th anniversary of his sound company, party series and record label. DVS1, real name Zak Khutoretsky, has described HUSH as "everything I've done since 1996: my parties, my sound, my label, my vision of purist techno and only for my music." He announced the HUSH 20 tour on Facebook yesterday, saying: "2016 marks 20 years since I organized my first events and now its time to celebrate. I've put together some shows across the next few months and i'm finally able to share it with all of you." The first is a special event at Maassilo in Rotterdam called The Wall Of Sound, where Khutoretsky will team up with Danley Sound Labs to build a soundsystem that recalls the rigs at illegal parties in the '90s Midwest rave scene—"a wall of speakers, usually as tall or taller than most people and as wide as the room can handle." Jeff Mills joins DVS1 on the bill for that one, along with Serge from Clone Records and Dasha Rush, who will play live. HUSH 20 will carry on through the end of November with dates in Lisbon, Ghent and Milan among other cities, wrapping up on November 22nd at Bassiani in Tbilisi. There will be a rotating cast of guest DJs along the way, including Ghetto, a resident DJ at Khutoretsky's parties in Minneapolis, and UK techno artist Blawan. In Lyon, Ben Sims and DVS1 will go back-to-back on six decks. A handful of the events have DVS1 playing all night.
