- The UK house act's latest full-length arrives on his own Phoenix G outlet in November.
Mr. G is gearing up to release his fifth album, A Good Place…?.
The UK producer, real name Colin McBean, has been releasing loopy, sample-based house music for more than 15 years. A Good Place…? arrives one year on from Night On The Town?, his most recent LP. "I thought I was done doing another album for a good while," McBean says. "Funnily enough, I started writing this after some horrid treatment at a gig. After the things I've been through over the last few years just being alive is a great place for me each day."
A Good Place…? comprises ten tracks due out on CD and as a double-vinyl pack. It arrives midway through a productive year for McBean—he's already released a string of tracks on labels like Bass Culture, Relative, and the label handling the release of A Good Place…?, his own Phoenix G.
