- The 12-inch, which includes four versions of "Sky Train," will land on FXHE in a couple weeks.
Omar-S will release the fifth EP in his Side Trakx series in late September.
In this series, the FXHE boss explores outside the functional confines of house and techno. Side Trakx Vol. 4—which revived the sequence last December after seven years of radio silence—ran through boogie, instrumental hip-hop and hazy synth music. The next one features LA singer and producer Nite Jewel, real name Ramona Gonzalez, on the track "Sky Train," plus three instrumental mixes of the original by Omar-S. Ann Arbor jazz pianist Ian Finkelstein also contributes keys to the track, which was recorded back in 2007.
