  • Some good news from club land this week, Fabric have announced they are no longer in the troubled waters of administration and have successfully led a management buy-out. Let the good times roll. So it only seems fitting that this Friday evening should Mark One helluva party for both Fabric lovers and the launch of possibly the most eagerly awaited albums of 2003. UNKLE play host to NEVER NEVER LAND THROWDOWN: UNKLE SOUNDSYSTEM featuring James Lavelle, Richard File and an uber special vocals appearance from Ian Brown. In case you were wondering, Unkle return to the airwaves soon with the release of the 'Never, Never, Land' album, the brain child of Fabric resident James Lavelle and new production partner Richard File. RA rates it nothing short of immense! It features a stella crew of guest vocalists, musicians and contributors (Ian Brown, Josh Homme from QOTSA, Massive's 3D, Jarvis Cocker and Brian Eno) the album is a mental trip of beats, pounding live bass lines, scores of strings and production values rated 'ace'. Following on from the legendary 'Psyence Fiction' album which generated reams of indifferent, undecided and lauding press, you can be assured that Lavelle has truly made his mark here and proved that he's an innovator and provider of consistently good ideas that the somewhat questionable electronic music scene should learn from. The future of dance music is here and its live. Friday night at Fabric.
