  • Dawn Richard's next album, Redemption, will land on November 18th. Redemption is the third album in what the artist calls her "Heart trilogy," following 2013's Goldenheart and last year's Blackheart. It comes in the wake of her Infrared EP for Fade To Mind, where she worked with Kingdom, and "Not Above That" from earlier this year, produced by Machinedrum. This new album is reportedly heavily influenced by her New Orleans upbringing, incorporating live instruments from the city's heritage into her usual electronic R&B. It's the first Heart album to feature guests, Trombone Shorty and PJ Morton, both of whom hail from New Orleans as well. It's produced almost entirely by Machinedrum, with further credits from past collaborator Noisecastle III, Kaveh Rastegar, Derek Bergheimer, Morton and Richard herself. Redemption will come via London label Local Action in partnership with Richard's own Our Dawn Entertainment. Listen to "Renegades."
