  • Traktor has been updated. Native Instruments' Traktor Pro 2.11.0 is a free update that includes support for Ableton Link, a protocol that streamlines syncing Traktor with other programs and apps. For instance, this allows you to sync Traktor to a DAW like Ableton or an iOS app, either on a single device or multiple devices connected by ethernet or a WiFi network. The update also includes a new step sequencer function for Remix Decks. Four rows of one-shot samples can now be used to create rhythms on the fly. The update comes with classic drum machine sounds and other samples, but you can select your own and subject them to filtering, effects and rhythmic algorithms like swing. The step sequencer is supported on the S8 and D2 controllers and as a user MIDI mapping on the F1. On top of this, Pioneer DJ's CDJ-2000NXS2 can now display Traktor's track information on-screen and access its features, while both the DJM-900NXS2 and Allen & Heath's new Xone:PX5 are "Traktor Scratch Certified."
