The LA synth artist will travel south in January 2017.
It's been a breakthrough year for the LA artist and Buchla modular synth enthusiast, a rise which was profiled by RA's Patric Fallon back in April. Her first Australian visit begins with a Sydney Festival show at St Stephen's Uniting Church on January 12th. The following weekend she'll take part in MONA FOMA, the five-day Hobart festival held at the Museum Of Old And New Art which also features Pantha Du Prince, Peaches and DJ Z-Trip playing between the 18th and 22nd.
Smith also has two Melbourne dates on that weekend. She'll perform at the National Gallery Of Victoria on the evening of January 20th, then she's joined by FRKWYS collaborator Suzanne Ciani at Sugar Mountain 2017, the one-day festival held at the Victorian College Of The Arts with Beppe Loda, Mood II Swing and Palms Trax. We also spoke with Ciani earlier this year—you can read that interview here.
