  • Elektron has a new distortion pedal, Analog Drive. The mono pedal features eight different analog drive circuits, much like the Swedish company's recently released Analog Heat processor. Analog Drive seems to be geared more at guitarists than electronic music producers, but Elektron CEO Jonas Hillman claims it also "does wonders for mono synthesizers and vintage drum machines." It includes a three-band equaliser with a sweepable mid-range for targeting specific frequencies. The mid-range frequency is also controllable via an expression pedal input. All settings are controllable over MIDI and the unit can send program changes from a MIDI output, while presets can be stored. Listen to clips of the Analog Drive. (Examples with synths and drum machines are towards the bottom of the playlist).
Analog Drive is available now and retails for $379.
