  • Prostitutes will release a full-length called Dance Tracksz on Diagonal Records in January. The Lakewood, Ohio producer born James Donadio has explored what he describes as "no trends" electronics since 2011. This year, he's already released an album, Ghost Detergent, on fellow Ohioan John Elliot's Spectrum Spools, as well as an EP for CGI Records. Oscar Powell and Jaime Williams' Diagonal imprint is another frequent home for Donadio's output. A 2015 RA profile on Prostitutes revealed Powell and Donadio "correspond almost daily," and Dance Tracksz is his third record for the label. Diagonal references Frankfurt hard techno label PCP Records, Whitehouse and Beau Wanzer as sonic touchstones for the new one. The press release also says Dance Tracksz is "like one of those weekends when an old mate turns up and Friday turns into Monday, face-down in empty bottles of sauce." Watch the video for "Bottle Smashing."
