Mexico City party GetMove has booked Floating Points to headline its eighth birthday celebrations on Thursday, December 1st.
GetMove has been brining international house, techno and experimental acts to various locations in Mexico since the late '00s. Past guests include the likes of Seth Troxler, Pional and Oskar Offermann (2013's RA Horizons party with Dixon also went down in conjunction with GetMove).
Many of GetMove's guests played their earliest Mexican dates for the party, and the trend continues for the upcoming birthday celebrations—Thursday, which runs in partnership with another local promoter, Dynamic Waves, will be Floating Points' first appearance in Mexico City. He's been given a five-hour set to mark the occasion, which should give him plenty of time to get through an ample amount of house, disco, soul and funk selections.
