  • Details of what may be a new Burial record have surfaced. Burial tends to slip out new singles around Christmas. Such was the case with Truant in 2012, Rival Dealer in 2013 and Temple Sleeper in 2014 (though the latter technically came out in January of 2015). Now a new Hyperdub 12-inch, Young Death, has surfaced on Discogs after Toronto record shop Sonic Boom sold five copies yesterday before it was even announced, supposedly due to a misunderstanding. "We assumed it was a Black Friday secret listing," a record buyer at the shop told Pitchfork. "It wasn't really clear to us that we weren’t supposed to be selling it." The same employee also said that a representative from Hyperdub contacted the shop and "was not happy." It's not clear whether Young Death will be available more widely, and while its Discogs page lists the release date as November 30th, the label hasn't confirmed any details.
