Friday August 1 sees the opening of a new night in Melbourne, Beatroot. The music theme will be along the lines of deep and tribal downstairs, while upstairs will cater to those who like it left-field with the sonic lounge (live improvised experimental soundscapes). Likuid resident Paul Agius will be playing downstairs each week at Beatroot. Keep an eye out for his Likuid crew mates Lance Harrison and Luke Moylan who will be making guest appearances.
The good people at Beatroot are also seeking bedroom djs/up n comers who play it deep, so send an email to [email protected] if that sounds like you.
Entry is free before 9.00pm and $8 thereafter. Beatroot takes place at Mi Casa Es Tu Casa, 213 Franklin St. City, opposite the Vic Market.
