Barcelona's BeCool venue has closed.
The closure of the nightclub, located at Placa de Joan Llongueras near Avenida Diagonal, was first announced in July 2015. This was pushed back, however, by a delay to plans to open a restaurant on the site, which meant BeCool continued to host concerts and parties throughout 2016. But, as Clubbing Spain reports, the venue closed following the New Year's celebrations, with work on building the restaurant now underway.
BeCool hosted the first Nitsa parties, which now take place at Sala Apolo. Down the years the likes of Hessle Audio, Electric Minds, Stroboscopic Artefacts, Dimensions and Resident Advisor all hosted events at the club.
