Steve Reich, Larry Heard, Lena Willikens and British Murder Boys have all been confirmed for the Amsterdam event.
A video teaser released last week hinted at some of the acts involved at this year's edition, which is running from August 2nd through 6th. Highlights of the confirmed bill include live performances from Steve Reich, Marcos Valle, Larry Heard, D.A.F., Wolfgang Voigt as GAS, British Murder Boys, Jeff Mills & Tony Allen, Sun Ra Arkestra, Marie Davidson, Floating Points (who will also DJ), and an audiovisual collaboration from Arca and Jesse Kanda.
DJ sets come from the likes of Masters At Work, Joe Claussell, Nina Kraviz, Lena Willikens, Beatrice Dillon, Antal & Hunee, Vladimir Ivkovic, Ben UFO, Jon Hopkins, Marcel Dettmann, Rødhåd, Volvox & Umfang, Motor City Drum Ensemble, Omar S, Optimo and Inga Mauer, while Donato Dozzy and Peter Van Hoesen's hybrid set is pitched somewhere in between DJ set and live performance.
This year's festival will run for a day longer than the 2016 edition—it will start on a Wednesday instead of a Thursday—while the Thursday concert programme has been doubled. Check out the full lineup on RA, and the festival's timetable on the Dekmantel website. The timetable reveals a couple of surprise slots, with Marcel Dettmann, Motor City Drum Ensemble and Nina Kraviz all playing opening sets on the Selectors stage.
