- "This was a different kind of music, more intimate and reflective."
Mark Barrott is putting out a new EP called Music For Presence on March 3rd.
The International Feel founder's latest record was inspired by what he felt were changes at his ongoing residency at Ibiza venue La Torre, where he DJs every Thursday at sunset.
"As the madness of the summer and the cumulative effects of a busy year started to slip away, I noticed the mood change at La Torre, as the post sunset nocturne started to get longer and longer," he says.
Barrott calls his new direction "more intimate and reflective" and refers to it as "positive pathos." Rather than sunny Ibiza, where the English producer calls home, the album reportedly references autumnal landscapes and nights spending wandering the streets in Japan.
