DC Shoe Co. USA has long been associated with skate culture, however in recent times their has been a definite shift in focus from the footwear brand to increase its appeal within the wider dance community. Corporate sponsorship and branded events are a hot topic for discussion, but if it means more quality acts touring the globe, thus providing an avenue for an abundance of talented DJ’s to strut their stuff in clubs around the world, then surely this must be considered; all good.
Now, for the first time ever in Australia, DC Shoe Co extend its musical talons to present the ’DC Breaks Tour’. Showcasing some of Australia ’s most talented DJs, the first stop finds the tour rolling into Melbourne on Wednesday August 20 . This performance will include DJs Mark Walton and Pitty the Kidd, joined by home town wiz G-San.
The brands first real sign of intent within the dance music frame work came when they created one off 'signature model' shoes for the like of Drum & Base Legend, Goldie and supporting Electronic Music Artists in the USA like DJ Grey Boy, Diesel Boy and Sage.
More ‘DC Breaks Tour’ performances are expected throughout the country over the next 6 months.
