  • Bristol record shop Idle Hands is moving to a larger premises. The store—which is also a label—is relocating to 32 City Road, a two-minute walk from its current home in Stokes Croft, where it's been for the past six years. Idle Hands says the move will give customers access to an expanded range of records. The new shop will be open seven days a week. Elevator Sound, the music equipment firm that operates at the back of the Idle Hands store, will take over the Stokes Croft space from March 4th. "The new shop is bigger, better and brighter," reads a statement. "And we think it's a space our customers will love. We have always been DJ-focussed but we've been longing to offer you more. The new shop gives us room to expand our stock and create a welcoming space where you'll be happy to have a dig." Idle Hands will close at its current address on Saturday, February 25th, and will reopen at City Road in early March.
