- Die Welt Ist Eine Pudel, published by Monkeytown, will be available later this month.
Illustrator Alex Solman is releasing his first book.
Die Welt Ist Eine Pudel features artwork—mostly black and white—from flyers for Hamburg club Golden Pudel, artist portraits from the FACT mix series and record sleeves. Solman's illustrations, playful and minimalist, had shaped Golden Pudel's distinctive visual identity. (The club was destroyed in a fire last year.)
The book is being published by Monkeytown Records, who will print 1,000 copies. 200 of those come in a box with seven extra art prints. Autechre, Blawan, Helena Hauff—one of Golden Pudel's former residents—Kassem Mosse, Sleaford Mods, Consumer Electronics, Felix Kubin and others have contributed text. It's coming out on March 24th.
Monkeytown Records will release Die Welt Ist Eine Pudel on March 24th, 2017.
