  • Gorillaz have officially announced their new album, Humanz, which is due out on April 28th. Some details of the record leaked over the weekend, with the promise of a star-studded cast of collaborators. Now the Damon Albarn-led band has confirmed the LP and its lineup—among the highlights are Grace Jones, Kelela, Peven Everett, Jamie Principle and Danny Brown. Dancehall vocalist Popcaan also has a spot, along with Mavis Staples, De La Soul, Anthony Hamilton, Zebra Kats and Pusha T. There's still no word on an official tracklist. Four of the album's tracks—"Ascension" with Vince Staples, "Saturnz Barnz" with Popcaan, "Andromeda" with D.R.A.M. and "Ascension" with Savages singer Jehnny Beth—appeared on TIDAL today before the album's announcement, and Albarn will appear on MistaJam's BBC Radio 1 show with the promise of new Gorillaz music today at 7 PM GMT. Listen to the group's "Hallelujah Money" from earlier this year.
Humanz is out on April 28th, 2017.
