  • A new, untitled album from Alex Cortex will see release next month on blundar. The German artist, real name Alexander Neumann, is known for crafting a wide range of techno, electro, IDM and minimal sounds over the past two-plus decades. He's had a busy start to 2017, with EPs for Barba Records and his own new imprint, Range, already released, and another on the way for Killekill's Vanta Series. For his first solo LP since 2011's Kihon, on Pomelo, he's linked up with blundar, a low-key imprint from Malmö that launched last year with a Lowtec 12-inch. The untitled LP, a set of nine tracks that Neumann's also left unnamed, is described as being the result of "years of studio work." It'll come on double-vinyl only, featuring cover and label artwork along with photo inserts, from blundar's visual designer mutantexture, that were inspired by the 1967 Guy Debord text Society Du Spectacle. Watch videos, from Irwin Barbé and Gustaf Holtenäs, respectively, for two tracks from the album below, and listen to samples at deejay.de.
