There's nothing RA loves better than bringing you news on Australian producers making waves overseas. A new Aussie production duo recently grabbed the attention of John Digweed.
Brisbane-based production duo Arcane Rhythm exploded onto the scene recently when John Digweed, arguably the world’s top DJ, charted and played their debut track, ‘Shadows’, to a worldwide audience.
Digweed premiered ‘Shadows’ on his Kiss 100 Radio show on Friday 25 July, giving it his seal of approval and airing it to thousands in England and many more across the globe via the Internet. Archived copies of John Digweed’s mix can be heard on his website, via the link below.
Arcane Rhythm consists of Mike Tuppin and Cosmo Cater. Cosmo has already established a popular following in Queensland as a respected and versatile DJ, who also moonlights as a commited music journalist. Mike has recently completed a remix for US rockers Live and the duo are currently working on more productions.
‘Shadows’, and its B-side companion, ‘Transient’, are set for release worldwide in September 2003, through Melbourne’s Vapour Recordings. Nice one boys!
