Kangding Ray and Mogwai's Barry Burns announce debut SUMS release

- Berlin Atonal Recordings will put out the three-track EP in May.
- The debut release from Kangding Ray and Mogwai member Barry Burns' SUMS collaboration is upcoming on Berlin Atonal Recordings. SUMS first appeared at the 2015 edition of Berlin Atonal, and they've since played just a handful of other gigs. Now, the festival's label arm is set to issue the first record from the project, which draws on two years' worth of studio sessions. A self-titled EP, also featuring percussionist Merlin Ettore, it'll land on vinyl and digital formats in May. SUMS will premiere a new live show at this weekend's Rewire Festival in The Hague.
