  • Deetron has revealed details of a new double EP called DoubleSix Takes Vol.1. The seasoned Swiss DJ and producer, real name Sam Geiser, will put out the five-track, 32-minute release through his label Character in May. It kicks off a new series, DoubleSix Takes, that he says will be focused on "the 'rawer' side of house (and possibly techno)," with productions built on a foundation of sampled material. "It is a spontaneous way of working," Geiser explains, describing his studio approach as "almost trial-and-error in the beginning, starting with something random, a vocal sample or a certain sound, and seeing where it'll take me from there." No previews of Vol. 1 have been posted yet. For now, listen to a 2016 Deetron cut on Character, "M1."
