  • Legowelt, AKA Danny Wolfers, has announced his latest release, due out on April 27th. Unfolding The Future With Amateur Space Jazz is the latest on the Dutch producer's Nightwind Records label, following A Vampire Goes West, which was released under his Smackos alias. In typically quirky fashion, Wolfers explains that "amateur space jazz" is "a lo-fi minimal [wave-ish] version of cosmic space jazz and anything closely related to it... from spiritual soul, G-funk, Ethiopian jazz to ambient and everything in between." He adds that amateur space jazz is played with a "DIY punk approach on crappy digital synthesizers, preferably with dubious renditions of real instruments." The album, which comes in CD and cassette form, is packaged with a 24-page graphic novel written and drawn by Wolfers himself.
