- The mysterious newcomer will release Apple Knife / Wisdom Of Rumi in July.
The next release on Andrew Weatherall's vinyl-only label, Bird Scarer Records, is a two-track EP by little-known producer Zu Dobson.
The 12-inch, titled Apple Knife / Wisdom Of Rumi, will be the sixth release on the UK veteran's outlet. As explained in the written note below, Weatherall signed the tracks after Dobson handed him a CD at a gig. She has no online presence and the pair never met again, "so her identity is vague even to me," he writes. Both cuts clock in around 111 BPM and nod to EBM, techno and cosmic disco. The EP is out on July 14th.
