- Album track "Plate Of Order" is streaming in full ahead of the LP's July release.
Pan Daijing will release her first album, titled Lack 惊蛰, on PAN this July.
The LP includes two years' worth of recordings of Pan Daijing's live shows and field recordings captured in Europe, China and Canada.
"When I was finalising this album, they didn't feel like tracks to me anymore, but more like a psychoanalytical process," she says. "I saw myself being this absurd, mad person 'acting' out the sounds… It's rather physical, and became like a mind-game. All things came out naturally as part of me." The album's narrative, PAN says, offers a perspective of the world as "the theatre of our minds," with Pan Daijing taking her cues from opera in terms of "storytelling and drama."
