- The LA duo will put out the Six Rocks LP in August.
The Steoples will put out their first album, Six Rocks, on Stones Throw in August.
The group is a collaboration between vocalist Yeofi Andoh and Gifted & Blessed (GB). The label says on Six Rocks, "Yeofi and GB synchronize to create deep rooted soul through introspective, thought provoking poetry." The press release goes on to note the music on the duo's debut LP strives to be genre-free and "boundless."
Gifted & Blessed is an LA producer whose music has appeared on labels like Eglo, Wild Oats and Rush Hour under various aliases. The Steoples have only dropped a self-titled EP thus far, but the lead-off tune on that 12-inch, "Nature Of The Soul," appeared on Prosumer's fabric 79 mix.
Six Rocks is the second GB-related project to land on Stones Throw—Peanut Butter Wolf's label put out an album of Latin standards from his Frankie Reyes project last year.
