  • DJ Pierre is releasing his debut album, Wild Pitch: The Story, on November 24th. The new record is meant to tell the story of the pioneering Chicago artist, from the pre-house era to modern times. Named for his own style of mixing and remixing, Wild Pitch: The Story features updates of some classic DJ Pierre tracks including "Master Blaster," "Love And Happiness" and "Fall." There's a collaboration with Marshall Jefferson, remixes of Roland Leesker and Blunted Dummies, plus a nine-minute cover of Donna Summer's "I Feel Love" with vocalist Chic Loren. The album, which is coming out via Get Physical, also includes a mixed version. Pierre is best known for his foundational work with Phuture, a Chicago group credited with inventing and popularizing the acid house sound. He now lives in Atlanta, where he runs a nightclub, also called Wild Pitch.
