  • A new Dubfire documentary film called Above Ground Level is out now. Above Ground Level tracks the life and career of the Iranian-born DJ, real name Ali Shirazinia, from his childhood in Iran and subsequent emigration to the US through to his breakthrough as half of Deep Dish and his current standing as one of the club scene's biggest names. The 77-minute film, described in a press release as "a fascinating account of life behind the decks and the rigours of the intense traveling that goes with it," features exclusive interviews with fellow DJ stars like Richie Hawtin, Danny Tenaglia, Carl Cox, Pete Tong, Loco Dice and Seth Troxler. Directed by Michael Koczynski and Mino Kodama, it was made available today through video-on-demand services—check it out on iTunes. Watch the trailer for the documentary.
