- Inspired by MTV's Chill Out Zone show, it's the 50th release on Kontra-Musik.
Kontra-Musik will release a new album from Andreas Tilliander on March 29th.
Chill Out is Tilliander's latest record under his techno-oriented alias Mokira, which is one of his longest-running projects. The label says it picks up where his last album, 2011's Time Axis Manipulation, left off, with "an air of happy retrospect and light solemnity." The LP was inspired by his youth watching and drifting off to MTV's Chill Out Zone TV program, which drove him to get in touch with his ambient roots. The vinyl version will come with a download code for a mixed version of the album that also features material excluded from the unmixed album.
News of Chill Out comes quickly after the announcement of another Tilliander album on Further Records, this time under the name Innerst Inne.
