  • Digby Smith, of UK duo Alex & Digby, has delivered a heartfelt tribute to his late elder brother, Alex, who died earlier this month of brain cancer. "I know there are so many that will feel this loss," he wrote on the offical Alex & Digby Facebook page today. "For me especially, he was the person who defined, guided and shaped me to become who I am today. I want to thank everyone who has supported Alex and I through these difficult times. What we managed to achieve together, even in the toughest of circumstances, has been incredible." The brothers, born in South Africa but raised in the UK, achieved a lot in the three years they were active. They released EPs on Discobar, Hello? Repeat and Cocoon, plus a debut album, titled For My Process, on their own Flash As A Rat label. In terms of gigs, they played Amnesia Ibiza, Sunwaves and Berlin's Club der Visionaere, among others.
