Arcola's next EP comes from 2814, AKA HKE and Telepath.
Pillar / New Sun is a two-track 12-inch that sees the dream music duo "leave behind the neon-lit concrete dreaming to explore a newly discovered dystopian jungle cityscape," according to the press release text from Arcola. It's the first new 2814 material since 2016's Rain Temple album, and it's the second release on the Warp Records sub-label since its relaunch last month, following an EP from Rian Treanor. The record also marks a rare departure from Dream Catalogue for 2814, though Not Not Fun notably reissued their second LP in 2015.
British artist HKE runs Dream Catalogue, a label that has seen a flurry of activity in the last few weeks after months of silence. Telepath, meanwhile, is an American ambient producer who has released a handful of extended compositions and collaborations in the last year.
