Gigi Masin has released a new album, KITE, today.
KITE was posted to Masin's Bandcamp page with a brief note that reads, in part, "Recently I have been thinking about what 'a change' means. Whether it's a turning corner of keeping on walking straight down the road, or a ship adapting its course to the winds and waves, or a kite dancing in the air one step away from the clouds."
Masin has experienced a career renaissance following a critical reevaluation of his '80s work, especially his 1986 LP, Wind. Last year, Gaussian Curve—his trio with Young Marco and Jonny Nash—released their second album, The Distance. His latest EP with Italian duo Tempelhof, Corner Song, also came out last month.
