Giving the Australian Dance Music Awards a truly national feel has always proved to be the hardest task for the team behind the DMA’s, bringing the entire industry and public together for an event that can logistically only be held in one city. This year, as in previous years it’s Sydney on November 12.
Those in Victoria who are reading this, don’t be disheartened the crew at Seven are holding the official Melbourne Dance Music Awards (DMA) Industry Party on Wednesday November 12 from 7pm -midnight.
Clea Woods from Seven told RA: "The Melbourne Dance Music Awards Industry Party will be an Exclusive Industry Only event that celebrates the talent within the local Australian electronic community. A night of drinks, nibbles and musical delights as well as a live simulcast courtesy of Channel V of the Awards Ceremony in Sydney. The Industry Party is an opportunity to increase the presence and exposure of the Dance Music Awards in Melbourne and a chance for the Melbourne electronic industry to relax and recognise the talent within the Australian electronic scene."
Although the night, which will feature live musical performances, is billed as an Industry only party, there are tickets available to the public in competition form.
