Daso has died age 37.
Daso Franke was born in Poona, India, but made his mark in the electronic music world after relocating to Germany—first in Cologne, then Berlin. His earliest releases came out in the mid-2000s on the Cologne-based My Best Friend label. He went on to build a strong following with releases on a diverse set of imprints, including Ghostly sister label Spectral Sound, Richard Zepezauer's Nsyde and Bedrock Records.
Ghostly eulogized Franke today on Twitter.
