  • A new 400-capacity club in Tottenham hopes to fill the gap in London's nightlife and promote community and mental-health charities. The Cause, opening in a former car-mechanics depot, is crowdfunding to give clubbers the opportunity to party around a literal centrepiece DJ booth with a custom soundsystem by Core. Through a monthly membership program, The Cause aims to raise £25,000 to give to its charity partners, which include Mind In Haringey, C.A.L.M. and Help Musicians UK. "The Cause is designed from the ground up to give back to people around us," says co-founder Stuart Glen. While crowdfunding is underway, The Cause is opening its doors this Friday, April 13th, to give early members and supporters an advanced look at what's to come. Tusk Wax and Posthuman are slated to perform, with more acts to be announced. To support The Cause, visit the crowdfunding site.
