  • Hangar has closed. In a statement posted on their Facebook page, the Dublin nightclub and events space said complications with the building's leaseholder forced them to close "with immediate effect" and cancel all its scheduled parties, which included afterparties tied to Forbidden Fruit Festival. "It is with deep regret that we must inform you that Hangar is now closed with immediate effect," the statement read. "It has been well known that Hangar will eventually close its doors, and sadly, the time has come." The St Andrew's Lane venue, which opened in September 2014, went on to say the closure was a "minor hiccup"—a new Hangar venue nearby is apparently in the works. Read the statement in full.
