Celebrated author Haruki Murakami is debuting as a DJ on Tokyo FM.
The Mainichi reports that the writer behind books like The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle and Norwegian Wood will have a 55-minute mix broadcast on August 5th.
Recorded in June and July, it sees Murakami playing records from his 10,000-strong vinyl collection while delivering anecdotes and commentary on the music. A known jazz enthusiast and digger, he says he "almost always work(s) listening to music."
