  • The first song and more details about Aphex Twin's latest record have been revealed. The lead track from Collapse was supposed to premiere Monday night during Adult Swim, but the video was scrapped because it did not pass the Harding test, meaning it was unsafe for epileptic and photosensitive viewers. Today, Richard D. James' Twitter account shared the album art, release date and "T69 Collapse" music video, linking to a website that confirmed the EP's tracklist and formats. Collapse will be available on limited edition vinyl, regular vinyl, CD, cassette and digital formats on September 14th via Warp Records. An unconfirmed song, thought to be "T69 Collapse," initially surfaced early Tuesday on YouTube and Reddit after 15-second clips became available through Instagram Stories' music feature. Today's announcement comes after a week of unexplained Aphex Twin logos popped up in London, Turin, Los Angeles, New York City and Tokyo. James previously experimented with a similar marketing scheme ahead of his 2014 album Syro. Watch the video for "T69 Collapse," by Weirdcore.
