- The Los Angeles artist's new LP, called Overload, will be out late October.
Georgia Anne Muldrow will release her next LP on Brainfeeder.
The Los Angeles artist, who made her full-length debut in 2006 via Stones Throw, will release her 11th solo LP on Flying Lotus's label. The 13-track Overload will be out on October 26th and will include the single "Aerosol," a synthy mix of psychedelic soul and funk.
Muldrow runs a label with her partner, Dudley Perkins, called SomeOthaShip Connect, on which she's released several records. One such album, 2012's Seeds, was produced entirely by Madlib, though Muldrow is a noted producer herself. (The hip-hop artist Mos Def once compared her with J. Dilla.) Muldrow, who's also a vocalist, songwriter and musician, also contributed to a 2015 album by the jazz pianist Robert Glasper that reimagined the music of Miles Davis. (Glasper also scored the OST for the jazz legend's film biopic Miles Ahead.)
