  • Moodymann will pay tribute to Prince at an event at the late artist's Minnesota home on December 1st. Red Bull Music will host the event at Paisley Park, the sprawling estate southwest of Minnesota that acted as Prince's home and studio from the mid-'80s until his death. Detroit native Moodymann, AKA Kenny Dixon Jr, is a noted Prince fan—even transforming a house in the Motor City into a shrine to the Purple One—and will play an all-night DJ set at Paisley Park encompassing "unreleased jams, party-starters, slow-burners, B-sides, D-sides and all manner of hits and curios from Prince," according to the press release. Dixon has also played all-Prince sets in Paris, New York City and Minneapolis since his passing in 2016.
