- Texas electro producer Gerard Hanson is rounding out the year with two new releases.
Dallas-based artist Gerard Hanson, AKA Convextion, has just revealed two new releases.
First up is a reissue of Convextion's Venus In Spurs EP on Mojuba sub-label a.r.t.less. Originally released in 2000 on Tektite Recordings, it fetches high prices these days. The reissue comes with fresh cover art, and there's an exclusive collector's edition on orange vinyl limited to 237 copies. (Both tracks, "Venus In Spurs" and "Crawling And Hungry," are renamed "Untitled" on the new EP.)
Hanson's other main project, E.R.P., is also putting out its first album: Afterimage. The double-LP will come on a new Texas label called Forgotten Future, with a collectors' edition on clear pink vinyl limited to 220 copies.
These two records follow recent releases for Legwork, Ellum and Tuppance, as well as 2016's Convextion album, 2845, which came out on a.r.t.less.
