  • West coast house maestro Miguel Migs returns to the NRK label this year with a series of three 12” singles, titled ‘City Sounds’. The series takes its inspiration from the unique atmospheres of some of the globe’s most influential cities, and the places where Miguel enjoys rapturous response to his DJ sets. “City Sounds 1 (Sydney)” draws its inspiration from the Australian harbour city in which he enjoys a great following. Kicking off the series it catches Migs in a particularly funky mode with the track “One-Two-One-Two”. It’s Tight percussion as always from the Naked Music house don, with some slight edgy electro twists along the way. “Don’t Stand There” on the flip is a somewhat deeper excursion with some hypnotic chords and meaty bass weaving its way around some crunchy drums.
