  • HomelandsThe festival event to kick-start the UK summer in style is 'We Love... Homelands', known for its super-combo of live music and DJ’s. Synonymous with the last bank holiday in May as the first festival of the season, the party starts on Saturday 29th May at 1pm in the Matterley Bowl, Winchester and goes thru till 6am the next morning. We Love Homelands is expected to attract 35,000 people for a 17-hour marathon of live music and quality tunes. Last years Homelands (Full Photo coverage here) repositioned itself and this year they have evolved the brand even further by bringing Rock, Drum and Bass, Hip Hop and dance music acts to the live stages and genre dedicated arenas. Darren Hughes, the man behind the infamous We Love Sundays at Space Ibiza Parties, along with festival supremos Mean Fiddler have concocted a line up that includes, some of the biggest names in the business. Faithless, Scissor Sisters, and London Elektricity will all be appearing whilst The Music have chosen Homelands for their only festival performance in 2004. Over 65 artists are booked to play and all styles will be showcased. Speaking about the process of putting together the line-up Melvin Benn, MD of Mean Fiddler said:"We're unrelenting in our quest to provide the finest quality international talent. We're broadening the line up this year introducing Rock and Hip Hop as well as the freshest names from the underground. We’re confident that 2004 will see the best Homelands ever!".
