Detroit comes to Melbourne via Sydney when Southern Outpost make their southern debut at Honkytonks, on Friday 19 March. Bearing true links to Detroit through Underground Resistance, Southern Outpost will show you their sounds live tonight. Along with the live set, S.O member Shapeshiftr will be performing a live laptop set and colleague Patrick HAF will dish out the hi tech funk in a DJ set of his own.
You'll be getting a luscious dose of Detroit-esque electro basslines in all their hi tech funk entirety. You can have a smirk at your Sydney cousins while you're dancing because S.O. are practically a hidden treasure in their own town with the shrinkage of Sydney techno nights. S.O. will be up for a chance to perform so give them back some appreciative vibes!
Locals representing tonight are resident DJ Mahi, along with Ben Cromack. Entry is $10 on the door.
