  • Last night saw the info. launch of this year’s Creamfields event, regarded as the biggest pure dance music festival in the UK, at Baby Cream in Liverpool. The 2004 festival, will see loads of new artists and DJs play across the 7+ massive arena’s, and take its tradition place on Saturday August 28 the Bank Holiday Weekend on a vast green field up north in Cream's home of Liverpool. The most exciting of the arena’s (assuming it doesn’t rain), the Creamfields Outdoor Area will see the piping hot UK duo Tom and Ed internationally known as The Chemical Brothers with loads of fresh new productions. They will be joined by Goldfrapp, the turntable mastering Scratch Perverts and Dynamite MC. The two new arena’s this year are a combined Circus and Underwater arena as well as a more banging hard house based 'Tidy Arena'. Also lookout for the massive Essential Mix arena this year, as Radio1 ups the anti bringing techno legend Jeff Mills, Yoshitoshi boys Deep Dish, Hernan, Danny, the Plumps and an exclusive live performance from Dave Clarke. Radio 1 Essential Mix Arena with Pete Tong: Deep Dish, Jeff Mills, Hernan Cattaneo, Danny Howells, Layo & Bushwacka, Plump DJs, Steve Mac, and Dave Clarke (Live) Subliminal Sessions Arena with Erick Morillo: Seb Fontaine, Harry 'Choo Choo' Romero, Jose Nunez, Jorge Jaramillo (Who Da Funk), Audio Bullys, Shawnee Taylor.     More (yes, if the above wasn’t enough) artists are still to be announced (including a few special guests on the Outdoor Stage) to possibly cement this years Creamfield's as the biggest ever. Capacity is somewhere around 45,000 and tickets are £49 + the usual booking fee. More details as they come to hand.
