The crew at Hardwarecorp have started releasing details on their upcoming events later this year. Transatlantic 6 will be the perfect way to end your winter hibernation on Saturday 4 September with guest DJ Richie Hawtin (the man known famously as the Plastikman from Canada). This will be Richie's first visit back to Australia since he played War of The Worlds for Hardware in 2002. He's down for a three hour set of techno at Transatlantic 6 at Club QBH.
Telephunk 2 will be happening in late August. The Telephunk series relates to all things elecro-tech, and parties are planned for every 8 weeks from August. Artists and DJs to play Telephunk include Anothy Rother LIVE, DMX Krew LIVE, Miss Kittin, The Hacker, Ellen Alien and more. Keep reading RA for more details as they come to hand.
Lock in Hardware 21 on Saturday 20 November. Perennial Melbourne favourite Jeff Mills, who is easily one of the world's finest techno DJs, will be playing Hardware 21, with a another very special guest DJ promised. The Hardware parties are often the pinnacle event of the year for techno fans, in terms of both scale and lineup. The promoters are working on venue issues but indicate it's going to be in a brand new never before used warehouse venue and will be a strictly limited affair for tickets.
