Lifestyles: sees Laurent Garnier, the front man for French electronic music, F-Com label owner and highly regarded techno infused DJ take on his first ever 'Retro' compilation. It is the fourth in the successful Harmless series following in some great footsteps from 4 Hero, Coldcut and Kenny Dope.
His Lifestyles album incorporates parts of the genre twisting sounds that Laurent is famous for since his start in the industry in the early 80's. Jazz, funk, disco, house, techno and other electronic sounds all feature in the highly varied track selection. And the double CD should be hitting stores sometime toward the end of October and the beginning of November.
In the meantime, if you're in vicinity of London, Laurent is returning to The End for another of his trademark extended sets this Saturday, October 9. 8 hours is the estimated time he will be dishing out tunes for from the main room's dance floor surrounded DJ booth. If you look at it from a historical point of view with reports from each of his previous sets at The End (or his recent set at Fabric back-to-back with JeffMills), the 'As One presents' night on Saturday is a guaranteed way to write off your weekend.
