It doesn't seem like it could have been 2002 that the first Afterhours compilation was released. This may have something to do with the impact GU caused with their first release of this kind and since it was only printed in limited numbers and seemed almost like a trial run for the label the album did very well, gaining almost a cult following.
Afterhours 2 provides a double CD compiled as an ideal selection of sounds aimed at that post clubbing experience. Mellow, abstract, atmospheric, dark beats that can put your mind at ease after a night on the town. Featuring UNKLE, Slam, Boards Of Canada, Primal Scream and a host of artists from the GU Music label, the album will include an assortment of interesting production work.
The album also features a bonus DVD with 5 short films as well as being released on two 12inch 4-track EPs. The release date is set for February 14 with the USA and Canada receiving it on the 22nd.
